Reusable towels on a roll

Just a project I made for my daughter since she is very Eco friendly and wants to save money.
I used fabrics from my stash and only had to purchase the snaps. The snaps are in the baby section at Joann's and with a coupon they came out to about $4.00.
I used this tutorial.
On a personal note, I do not like using paper towels since to me they are a waste of money so I think these reusable ones are a great idea.
Any one else make something Eco friendly they can share?

Second Finish

I started this quilt about 2 summers ago . I am so sorry but I cannot provide the link to the designer because I cannot remember it. I know that Deanna designed it but I cannot remember her blog name.
I feel in love with the quilt, made it and started hand quilting it 2 years ago and there it sat while other projects took priority.
With my daughter moving to North Carolina I knew a warm quilt would be in order so I finished quilting it on the machine.
It is a queen size quilt and quite heavy. I am so glad I got it done.
Anyone else completing some older projects?

Update, I remember the designer http://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/http://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/

Sailing around the world

"Sailing around the world" is what I named my first completed project of the summer. As you can see my coffee table requires a bigger topper so out came my wedge ruler and off to work I went. It took me all day but I got it done. I used the built it embroidery design from my embroidery machine.
I so love this.
Finally I am quite happy with a project I have finished.
I am going to make a patriotic one but I don't think I want to ever remove this one. LOL.
Has anyone else have a completed project to share?

Best Buy not the best buy

I purchased a new laptop to use in my sewing room with my embroidery machine and it came with a huge flaw. Every time  I type the help desk from hp pops up. It has taken me an eternity to write this post. Best buy will not fix it because it is over 15 days old. Does anyone know or have a point of contact for Best buy?
We have done everything to stop this to no avail.

The design idea came from Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville.

The 12 days of Christmas Part 5

Everyone needs washcloths. I was able to get these at Wally for a reasonable price for a set of 4. So far I have customized 3.
What about my dear friends, anything going on in terms of creating good useful but affordable Christmas gifts?

New Rug

Finally finished a rug for my daughter. Now we all have one plus the donated  one. I am going to take a break from these for awhile. I so love making them but they consume alot of my time.
